About Us

Elks Lodge — photo 1

On NY-12 in Boonville, the Elks Lodge has the kind of lived-in character that no renovation budget can manufacture. The scuffed floors and well-worn bar stools tell the story of decades of card games, celebrations, and conversations that ran well past closing time. Rated 4.6 stars by the people who actually show up here, this is a place that earns its reputation one Friday night at a time.

The event hall is genuinely spacious, the sort of room that can hold a baby shower in the afternoon and a banquet in the evening. Members and guests alike describe the atmosphere as easy and unhurried, the kind of spot where you can settle in with family or friends without anyone rushing you along. The building carries its age like a badge, and the regulars would have it no other way.

The Boonville Elks are part of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, a fraternal organization with deep roots in American civic life. Community service, charitable giving, and support for veterans run through everything this lodge does, alongside the more straightforward pleasures of a cold beer and good company on a Friday evening.

What We Offer

Every Friday fish fry is open to the public, no membership required. The crowds that show up week after week are the best endorsement we can offer. Come hungry.

The event hall is available for private bookings including baby showers, birthday parties, memorial gatherings, retirement celebrations, and lodge-sponsored banquets. The room offers generous square footage, tables and chairs, and a bar setup that keeps things moving. For elder guests or anyone with mobility concerns, it is worth calling ahead about access to the downstairs entrance, especially after a Boonville winter drops a foot of snow overnight.

Membership in the lodge opens up regular access to the bar, member-only events, and the chance to participate in community service programs the Elks run throughout the North Country. Full details on membership are available through the national organization at elks.org.

"The reason I have gave three star rating is because I stopped at the lodge on my way through to fort drum to have a beer before I had to start my military duty for the week and I walk in show my elks membership from my lodge bought a beer and I said hi to everyone that was there but it was like I was getting the cold shoulder being there like they dont want to say hi to new people showing up i will stop by again one day but if I got the same experience as before I wont be stopping there again"

A Proud Heritage

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
